Oh! This is so exciting! (Ok, maybe not for some) The river that's behind Clarence Dock might see water levels rising to a point where we might have to be evacuated! They've pasted notices all over telling us to prepare a bag with clothes and stuff, just in case and that those living on the ground floor (all guys!) had better put all their belongings off the floor. I have been told, and have somewhat experienced, rather heavy rains recently and this is probably why it's flooding everywhere.

And there's the mad cow (now maybe mad sheep) disease too! They think that sheep may be infected by the same disease as cows and that it's fatal to people. I wonder what that leaves us with. Only chicken and pork? Thank goodness I only eat chicken and ham and fish these days. Well at least I get to eat some form of meat. Wouldn't want to be forced into being a vegetarian.

There are 2 hares living in the grassy, bushy plot downstairs, right outside my window. They are like my pets, just that I needn't clean up after them of feed them. But I think I'll go defrost some of my frozen carrots and place them on the grass tomorrow. Wouldn't want them to have nothing to eat and then die in the winter. They look pretty fat tho'. My mum has explicitly told me not to bring them into my room. Darn.
