I need a new umbrella! Mine is too light (How ironic. I bought it for that very reason). It got a severe thrashing this morning. The wind was so strong and it blew from a gazillion and one different directions sending my umbrella shaking and threatening to turn itself inside out.

It rained very heavily today. Strange type of rain. Giant raindrops accompanied by white flakes! It snowed! Serious! But only a little bit. The grassy area outside my window was not covered in white. I thought the white flakes were bits of paper blown around by the wind (Leeds ain't the cleanest city y'know). While waiting for the bus to take me to the doctor's (to check my rash), I saw this car which had ICE on its windscreen and on the bonnet! It was cold! VERY cold! I have to wear gloves now. It was so cold this morning my fingers started to hurt (and turn blue??).

The bus didn't drop me off just outside the Medical Practice, so I had to walk in. Guess what I saw! Ice! On the sidewalk! Slushy ice! It felt funny stepping on it. It's very slippery. I was smart in wearing my Guess? boots. When I walked further down the road and passed this usually grassy, slighty raised patch next to the sidewalk, it was partially covered in snow! It was white! I think I started to laugh alot here. I definitely wasn't expecting to see snow in October. But it was so cool! (The snow made that usually very littered patch look nice too.) Well, I'm home now. Warming up. Another thing I should mention is that I'm now 8 hours behind Singapore time. I found out in a rather embarrasing way at the school library on Sunday. It opens at 12pm see, and when I got there it was nearly 1 on my watch, but the library was closed. I tried to open the door, and the security guy inside told me it's not 12 yet.

But I'm like "it's nearly 1pm!", thinking all this while that the guy's nuts. Then he opened the door and told me that we've gone back an hour (while I was sleeping). So in actuality, I was about 10 minutes early, it was only 11:50am. I could have slept in longer!
