Oh joy oh joy! I found out today that I can use the computers in the clusters all over campus! Yippee! I had thought I wouldn't be able to because I only have a temporary student card, but a couple of Signaporean friends doing law told me it was possible and that they have already tried it! I can now check my mail regularly and function quite normally, tho' not as well as I would if I had my own beloved "Black Beauty" (the name I've given my all-black computer) with me!

Earlier today, I attended a seminar type thing. It was quite a bit of fun, made a couple of friends and all, then I went downtown and came across Ms. Selfridge - alot bigger here, and with a lot more stuff than in Singapore. I bought a black turtleneck (no chance of wearing that in Singapore!) and a grey pair of pants. The frustrating thing is now they have some gorgeous clothes on sale (£15 and below, even £5!) but no way will I be able to wear it in this giant refrigerator of a city! (It rained for a while again today) But it'd be a super buy for me to wear in Singapore (short skirts, skimpy tops). Well anyway, I intend to go back there and look for a nice jacket. Saw a lovely burgundy trench coat-ish one, but it's about £40. Cheap I suppose, for clothes like that, and what's more, I get a 10% student discount!

By 2pm, I was back in school, attending the lecture on Constitutional Law (just an intro one) for overseas students. The lecturer speaks to us a though we're kids and is really weird. He would ask a question than stare at some poor (old) student in the front row, eyebrows raised, eyeballs bulging, face pulled back, going "Hmm?". Funny ma. Watched an old (made in the 80s?) video there and nearly fell asleep. It was super boring. We have notes anyway, much more comprehensive and worthy of my time. Anyhow, it was here that I met more Singaporean people studying Law. A total of 5 I think, including me. I've also made friends with a girl born in Hong Kong, but lived in Canada, a guy (can't pronounce/spell or remember his name) from Cyprus, another from London, and another from Hong Kong, and loads more from heavens knows where. Merely acquaintances tho', most of them. I still like my friends in Singapore best, don't worry!

Well, it was after my lecture that I went to use the computer, and it was after that, that I went to meet up with my mum at, guess where, the cybercafe near my flat! She was sending mail to my brother I think. I'm home now, patiently waiting for dinner. I feel I've been eating a lot lately and my mum's been feeding me alot too. I have finished my book "The Queen's Bastard" and just bought "The Many Lives & Secret Sorrows of Josephine B." which I found out is part of a trilogy. I shall go start on this book on Napoleon's wife now. Tomorrow, I can sleep in, and then go for a lunch meeting thing at some Singaporean senior's house. I'm hungry!
