Yay! I'm so proad of myself! After thinking about it for 7 years, I've finally done it! By "it" I mean pierced my ears! Since secondary 1 (when I was 13) I've been thinking of piercing them. Go ask the Baichis. They can tell you in vivid detaul how I keep saying I will do it tomorrow/soon/next year. I was really nervous, but I decided it was time to get this over and done with! I hate needles! The lady at Claire's where I got my ears pierced was very nice and she assured me that it wouldn't hurt and I had a nice chat with her. Very friendly. She went through everything with me - how to clean, what to use, how the piercing is going to be done, etc, but she did not prepare me for one thing. And that is that BOTH my ears will be pierced at the same time, simultaneously. It was so shocking for me! But the good thing about it is that it was over very quickly (for which I am ever so grateful). Can't say it really hurt. It did for like a mere second only and it wasn't that painful. I didn't scream or cry, and coming from a low pain threshold person like me, that's something! I'm actually thinking of piercing one side again soon! I can't believe I waited so long to get this done. I should have done it 7 years ago! Oh! The 3rd and final book of the Josephine Bonaparte trilogy is out! I went to Borders and stumbled upon it! Yay! I'm so happy! Now I have something to read on the plane home! Woohoo! Bought another book from Borders - how to draw the human figure. I thought it'd be interesting to improve my drawing skills. It was on sale anyhow. I've also taken to drinking diet coke. This is highly unlike me. I can hear all my friends gasping in surprise. But oh well, I can drink as much as I want with no guilt! Heh. I managed to get my computer up as a web server. This is so cool. Really! Ok ok. Only geeks and nerds like me will find it cool. Need to take my bath. Very sleepy. Need to write my Tort essay and work on the Singsoc website. Oh! Speaking of Singsoc, went for the paintball event. It was fun. For everyone else that is I guess, but horribly muddy and icky for me! Ruined my green Mango pants so that stupid sheep don't contract Foot and Mouth disease. Still, it was an experience. I now know for a fact that I am a city girl. |
