7:18pm [UK] ; 2:18am [Singapore]

I ate the mousse last night. It was delicious! Too bad I can't take some home and share it with those in Singapore. Ah well, I guess I'll just have it all to myself! Yum!

Didn't do much today. Came back to my room pretty early. About 6pm. This morning I went for the library talk. Not very interesting, but at least now I know where to look for the books I'll inevitably need. One thing tohugh, the self-service borrowing machines that are so very common in Singapore libraries seem to be not frequently used here. They have it, but they had to explain how to use it. Everything else is pretty much the same. My law books are housed in 2 different libraries. One is the Brotherton Library. If houses most of the more commonly used books, and the other is the Edward Boyle library which has weird stuff like ancient law books. The libraries open till really late at night, so I know, if I should need to, I can stay there to study. Yeah right! Not till midnight, that's for sure!

After the talk, I met up with my mum (my other friends didn't seem to have gone for the talk..hmm..) and went to speak with the warden at Clarence Dock, but she wasn't in, so we went back to the University accomodation office to speak with another lady who says, after much persuasion that we can see the Clarence Dock warden tomorrow. Complicated business.
[A very pretty English home]

Anyhow, I had lunch at the Refectory before meeting the other lady at the accomodation office, and had a lovely stew-like beef & mushroom pie. I say 'stew-like' because it really looks like stew, once you take away the pie crust and top, which was what I did. I ate it with rice and coke! (Never leave home without it, or if you do, always buy it outside.)

My mum & I went downtown again and bought the black bag I had my eye on for a very long time. It cost £16, but is really nice because it has a little zipped up compartment on the outside, which is supposed to be for umbrellas according to my mum, but I think my buscard will go in perfectly! Well, after that, we were kind of tired so we decided to go home and rest early. The weather, like always, was TERRIBLE! Rain rain rain. In the afternoon that is. And not the thunderstorm kind, but stupid, neverending drizzle. It's not heavy enough to make you want to go through all the hassle of taking out you umbrella buried at the bottom of your bag, but neither is it light enough for you to think of it as a refreshing spray of cool water on your face. It's just plain irritating! Now I know why we have hoods on some jackets. Even then, your face is exposed. It's as tho' tiny flies are landing all over your face and then flying off and landing somewhere else on your face, but you can't swat them. I hate the weather.

I had my first tummyache in UK today. Don't know why, but nevermind, I'll be having dinner soon. I'll have to sleep mega early today because I'll have to wake up at 6:30 in the morning so that I can beat the long queue at the registration place. Heh heh. Singaporean kiasuism coming into action.

Well, I hope I can settle this whole accomodation thing by tomorrow. I think there are vacant rooms in Clarence Dock or else why would the warden even agree to see and interview me? She could have just said "Sorry, no vacancies." and leave it as that. I can't wait to get my computer, get online and start living my life normally again!
